as promised

it's a good sign when more gets finished on the house than i can even post. in the last day we've gotten lighting fixtures, sinks/faucets/showers, smoke detectors, and finished painting.
better pic of paint colors-ceiling in the master
entryway

kitchen/great room
kitchen- just needs backsplash, appliances and the sink
i wish i'd have gotten a better pic of ceiling fan in living room. it's got a sweet design

still not a great pic of paint concept...you just have to see it to see why i love it so much. also you can see how modern houses are nowadays...they're custom made for a flat screen so if you have one you're giving away let me know. at least know we get to get rid of the monstrosity of a tv paul has right now. (SO HEAVY).
guest bath is finished i think other than mirror
toilets
faucet
paul's outdoor light fixture he was so excited for
patio- lighting and back door painted

not sure what the deal was..

...but apparently every picture i took this day was either crooked or blurry. it clearly was not a great day for my photographic expertise (which is none). they painted the outside of the house. trim, shutters, etc. i don't have any pics of it yet but they painted the front and back door too which makes me happy...not really sure why.
probably the best picture of countertops that were installed

love the paint, love the stain, love the countertops...i'll take it

study...see this one isn't clear.oh well.
this one was supposed to show the paint color between accent and main color...clearly it failed. i'll try harder today.
all painted. YAY.
what is sad is at this point i hadn't even realized the countertops had been put in. good thing i'm not paid to be observant or anything :P
i'm already behind because yesterday they put in lighting fixtures but i'll have an update soon with the grand unveiling of the living room and kitchen

looks good but gives me a headache

we got shutters and no they will not remain that color.
they started staining, sealing, sanding all the cabinets. i was like why do they look like s(*t but then realized they are silky smooth like a baby's butt
btw- in case i've never said this is our laundry room
i put this pic up because the study was never a room i cared all that much about...basically just a computer room. however jeff has put so many design elements into it with the doors, paint colors, trim and so on that it's slowly becoming one of my favorite to see

yay they put the stone up around the fireplace. you can't really tell cause of the paper but it looks GOOOOOOD

what i'm sure will be my favorite room since i enjoy eating so much. what's funny about this pic is you can see cole jumping around and shortly after he fell on his butt due to the dust all over the floor. didn't phase him though...

i'll move in now thanks

this is one of our major changes to the plan. i love everything about this shower. it will not have an actual door but an area you "walk" into and can use to dry off. there was confusion about what we wanted and it ended up PERFECT.

that's right we have a driveway. which means that i don't have to vacuum my car out everytime we go look at the house. they have done so much that makes it look like an actual house and not just a construction site...i'm ready to move in. i'm such a loser that i go from room to room going "this is my favorite room" and then i'll go in a different one and say "ok no this is my favorite". it's so ridiculous.

ah.......love.

cole's closet. very happy with the way the closets turned out. shelving is great in all of them...even in the study.

cole's/guest bathroom

fireplace with shelving for entertainment "stuff". also the tile around bottom of fireplace done.

kitchen...i think all woodwork is finished in here. and yes cole has awesome shades.

entrance to bedroom and master bath

i envision spending plenty of time in herecabinets and framing for mirro

shanna fell in the mud...pretty much intentionally

yes it's true. there was a board laying across the mud puddle so i figured that was how the workers were getting up to the house. i was wrong. luckily no one else was out there and i was in shorts and flip flops so no damage done. paul and cole pulled up as i was knee deep in the mud puddle when cole reminded me of what we tell him every time we go there "you're not supposed to walk in the mud shanna"...got it.
as you can see they haven't poured concrete yet but the city did come move the water box which is what the hold up was so it should be soon.
the board i trusted sticking out of the middle of the puddle
on a better note our cabinets are mostly in. they are still figuring out the island but other than that....YAY

master bath
master bath over toilet...i guess it's a headknocker. we were just happy about it because about a month ago we realized there isn't a linen closet just cabinets so we're glad we have more than we thought.
cole's bathroom
laundry room
front door. we went with a small decorative window so we could still see the front porch but harder to break in.
back door
